Getting Started & Setup

Your Trackcard ready to use in under a minute.

How do I set up my Trackcard for the first time?
iPhone/iOS/Apple
  1. Press the button on your Trackcard briefly to turn it on. A short tone confirms it's active.
  2. Open the pre-installed "Find My" app on your iPhone.
  3. Tap the "+" symbol and select "Add Item".
  4. Your Trackcard will now appear on the screen. Tap "Connect", give it a name (e.g., "My Wallet"), and it's ready to use.
Android
  1. Install app: open "Find My Device" (Google) from the Play Store.
  2. Enable Bluetooth & internet.
  3. Turn on: press the button twice briefly → melody plays.
  4. Pair: hold Trackcard very close to your smartphone → pairing pop-up → tap Connect and follow instructions.
  5. Name: assign a name in the app.
  • No pop-up? Enable "Find nearby" in your Google settings: Open Settings → select your Google account → All services → Devices → search for nearby devices and manually reset your Trackcard.

🚨 The Trackcard MUST be connected exclusively via the Fast Pair pop-up

    Alternatively: restart your smartphone.

What requirements must my iPhone/Android meet to use the Trackcard?
iPhone/iOS/Apple
  • iPhone with iOS 14.5 or later
  • The "Find My" app, which you need to use, is already installed by default (usually) on your iPhone.
Android
  • Android 9 or later
  • App "Find My Device" (Google)
  • Bluetooth + Internet
  • Important: Huawei devices are currently not supported.
  • After the first pairing, the card is permanently linked to your device; reset it first if you want to use it with a different phone.
Do I need to install a separate app for Trackcard?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

No. One of the biggest advantages of Trackcard is its seamless integration into the Apple ecosystem. You simply use the familiar Find My app by Apple – no additional app, no account, no hassle.

Android

Maybe. You need the free Google app "Find My Mobile", which you can download from the Play Store. You may have already installed it when setting up your phone.

My Trackcard won't connect to the app (or isn't found). What can I do?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Don't worry, this is usually quick to fix.

  • Patience: Give your iPhone a moment to find the Trackcard.
  • Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.
  • Proximity: Keep the Trackcard right next to your iPhone while pairing.
  • Reset: As a last option, you can reset the Trackcard (see "Troubleshooting & Reset" section).
Android

Scenario 1: Trackcard was paired and disappears from the overview:

What's often behind it: On Android devices, there's sometimes a little mix-up with Google accounts. The Trackcard pairs automatically with the phone's default account, but you might be logged into the Find Hub app with a different account. Suddenly it looks like the card has vanished.

Here's the best way to proceed:

  1. Check accounts: Open the Find Hub app, tap your profile picture in the top right, and see which Google accounts are shown. The default account is usually at the top.
  2. Reset Trackcard: Press the power button five times in quick succession. On the fifth press, hold it down until you hear a small melody.
  3. Pair again: Start pairing again. Pay close attention to which email address appears in the pop-up—that's exactly which account will be connected to the card.

Scenario 2: The pop-up to connect doesn't appear!

🚨 Important: The Trackcard must only be connected via the Fast Pair pop-up. Through regular Bluetooth pairing, the Trackcard is no longer discoverable and requires a reset.

Here's the step-by-step approach:

  1. Check basic requirements

➡️ Enable Bluetooth: Settings → Bluetooth

    ➡️ Ensure stable internet connection

➡️ Enable "Find nearby devices": Settings → Google → Devices & sharing → Devices
(sometimes: Settings → Connections → Search for nearby devices)

  2. Reset Trackcard
Press the power button five times quickly. On the fifth press, hold it down until a small melody sounds. After that, the card is back in pairing mode. Hold your phone very close to the Trackcard.

⚠️ Please don't:

  • Don't tap "+ Pair new device" in Settings.
  • Don't pair normally via Bluetooth.
If you've already done that: reset Trackcard and remove it from your Bluetooth device list (Settings → Bluetooth).
💡 Tip: If the pop-up still doesn't appear, just start over: restart your phone, reset the Trackcard, and try again. Android sometimes needs a little patience.
How do I turn the Trackcard on or off and when does that make sense?
iPhone/iOS/Apple
  • To turn on, press the button once briefly.
  • To turn off, hold it for 3 seconds. A melody confirms it.
  • In everyday life, you never need to turn it off. Turning it off only makes sense if you won't use it for a very long time.
Android
  • On: Press button 1× → Melody
  • Off: Hold button exactly 3 seconds → Melody confirms.
  • Only turn off if you won't use it for a very long time.
The button on my Trackcard doesn't respond after pairing. Is it broken?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

No, quite the opposite!

That's a sign that everything is working correctly. After pairing, the card is permanently connected to your iPhone and controllable via the Find My app. The button now has new functions: for example, a quick double press triggers a short status tone.

Android

No, quite the opposite!

After successful pairing, you control the card via Find My Device. The button then serves for status tone (2× short) and on/off; the main functions run in the app.

Daily Use & Functions

Your smart helper for everyday life.

How can I make my Trackcard play a sound when I'm searching for my wallet nearby?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Very simple. Open the "Find My" app, tap your Trackcard under "Items," and select "Play Sound."

A clear beep helps you find your wallet right away – even if it slipped between the sofa cushions.

Android

Open Find My Device → Select Trackcard → "Ring" → "Stop Ringing" when found. You'll also see the last known location.

Can I share the location of my Trackcard with my family or friends?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Yes, and that's especially useful for shared items like a bag/backpack.

Open the Find My app, select your Trackcard and tap Add Person under the Share This Item option. You can share the location with up to five other people who also have an Apple device.

Android

Yes. In Find Hub / Find My Device select Share Device and send an invite (e.g., via SMS/email). The invited person accepts within 24 hours. Sharing can be revoked at any time later.

Do I need to use the Trackcard in my wallet?

No, absolutely not!

Although it's designed with its ultra-thin shape perfect for any wallet, you can just as easily place it in a backpack, laptop bag, daily planner, or even in your car's glove compartment.

Anywhere you don't want something important to go missing.

What exactly does the "Notify when left behind" feature mean? (iPhone only)
iPhone/iOS/Apple

That's your digital guardian angel.

When you activate this feature, your iPhone sends you a message if you move away from your Trackcard. So if you leave the café without your wallet, you'll know right away, even before you notice it yourself.

Android

This useful feature is an integral part of the Apple "Find My" ecosystem. For the Trackcard One, this feature is currently not supported.

How do I find my wallet again if I lost it in an unfamiliar location?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Your Trackcard uses the massive and anonymous Apple "Find My" network, which consists of hundreds of millions of Apple devices worldwide.

As soon as another iPhone or iPad comes near your lost Trackcard, its location will be displayed anonymously and encrypted on your map.

Android

The Trackcard uses Google's worldwide "Find My Device" network to locate your card. For your card's location to be transmitted, several Android smartphones with activated services typically need to be nearby at the same time. Once this condition is met, the location is reported anonymously and securely to your Google account. In the app, you can then view the last known location of your wallet.

Google has implemented extensive security and privacy mechanisms for this. A central component is the so-called "Safety-first" concept, which also includes aggregation: the location is only displayed once several devices have detected a Trackcard.

  • Aggregation by default: A location is only reported when multiple Android devices detect a tag at the same time. This prevents a single device from being used to track movements or private locations like your home.
  • Particularly effective in crowded areas: The network demonstrates its strength where many Android devices are in use, e.g. in cafes, airports or train stations.
  • In less crowded areas: The last known location and proximity search ("Find nearby") help you recover your items.

You'll find more details directly in Google's official information:

What is 'Lost Mode' and how do I activate it?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Lost Mode is your most important function in case of loss. You activate it in the Find My app.

This locks the card and allows you to leave a message with your phone number that an honest finder can see. This increases your chances of getting your valuables back quickly.

Android

Activate the mode in the Find My Device app via the "Mark as lost" option. This locks the card for others and allows you to leave a message and phone number to be shown to a finder.

What happens if someone finds my lost Trackcard?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

If you've activated "Lost Mode", the finder can scan your Trackcard with their iPhone and see the message and phone number you've provided. They can contact you directly.

Android

Once you've activated "Lost Mode", a finder can see your stored information (message & number) and contact you directly. You'll also get a notification when your card's location is updated by the network.

Battery & charging

Months of runtime, easy charging.

How long does the Trackcard battery last with normal use?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Your Trackcard battery lasts up to 6 months on a single charge. That's up to 180 days or 15,552,000 seconds.

The exact runtime depends on how often you use the sound function, for example. Compared to disposable products, it's a sustainable and long-lasting solution.

Android

Your Trackcard One battery lasts up to 4 months on a single charge and depends heavily on usage, especially how often the sound function is used.

Since the card is conveniently rechargeable, you don't have to worry about battery replacement.

Why doesn't the LED on my Trackcard stay on?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

This is completely normal and intentional to save energy.

The LED only lights up when needed, e.g. during charging (Red = charging, Green/Blue = full).

Shortly after the card is fully charged, the green LED turns off again. In everyday use, it stays off.

Android

This is completely normal and intentional to save energy. The LED only lights up when needed – for example during charging (Red = charging).

Once the Trackcard is fully charged, the LED turns off again and stays off. In everyday use, it remains off.

👉 The difference: On iOS there is briefly an additional color display when fully charged, on Android the LED turns off directly. In both cases: In normal operation, the LED stays off so the Trackcard lasts as long as possible.
How do I know the Trackcard is charging and when it's fully charged?

iPhone / iOS / Apple

👉 Red = charging
👉 Green/Blue = full, then off

The LED lights up red during charging. When Trackcard is fully charged, it shows you briefly with a green or blue LED. Then the light turns off again to save energy. So no light display in everyday use is completely normal.

Android

👉 Red = charging
👉 Full = LED turns off

The LED lights up red when charging. Once Trackcard is fully charged, the LED turns off immediately and stays off. In normal operation, it shows nothing to keep the battery lasting as long as possible.

How long does it take to fully charge the Trackcard?

As a rule, your Trackcard will be back at 100% in less than two hours and ready for the next few months.

Which charger do I need for the Trackcard?

You can use any standard, e.g. Qi-certified charger, like you might already use for your smartphone.

Apple MagSafe chargers also work perfectly. Simply place the Trackcard on the charging surface with the marked back side down.

⚠️ Please note: Very small charging surfaces, such as those designed for smartwatches, may not be compatible due to the coil size. Chargers with very strong magnets also won't work.

Trackcard is fully charged according to LED. Why doesn't the app show the correct battery status yet?

Don't worry – this is completely normal! 😊

The LED indicator behavior on the Trackcard is the most important sign that the card is fully charged. The battery indicator in the app sometimes updates with a delay and may only show the correct status after a few hours.

This is not a problem with the card itself, but rather because the app software (especially on Apple devices) doesn't fetch the charging status immediately.

👉 Important to know:

• iOS: Green/Blue LED = Card is fully charged

• Android: LED turns off = Card is fully charged

• The app display can respond with a delay

• If you briefly lift the card from the charging pad and place it back down, the LED may light up red again for 1–2 minutes – this is technical and not an error

💡 If the card really ever has a defective battery, it will play a small melody every time you place it on the charging pad.

⚠️ A flickering LED is a strong indicator of an unsuitable charging station, too strong magnets, or poor positioning.

In this case, please contact us.

Troubleshooting & Reset

Quick help if something goes wrong.

Trackcard won't play sound despite request. What can I do?

Tip: Sometimes Trackcard doesn't respond immediately due to other signals in the area. In this case, try pressing Play Sound a couple of times in succession until a signal is received and you hear the tone.

iPhone/iOS/Apple

First check in the Find My app whether the Trackcard is shown as "Find nearby".

If it's out of Bluetooth range, no sound can be played. Also make sure the battery is charged.

Android

Check range: The sound can only be played if your smartphone is connected to the card via Bluetooth, meaning you're nearby.

Check battery: An empty battery is the most common cause. Please charge the Trackcard.

My Trackcard won't connect to the "Find My" app. What can I do? (iPhone)
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Don't worry, it can usually be fixed quickly.

Check the basics: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone and hold the Trackcard right next to it.

Restart iPhone: Often a simple restart of your iPhone works wonders, as it resets all connections. It's a good tip we all too rarely remember to use.

Trackcard Reset: Please see the section "How can I reset my Trackcard".

My Trackcard won't connect to the "Find My Device" app. What can I do? (Android)

Check connections: Make sure Bluetooth and Internet are enabled on your smartphone.

Restart smartphone: A simple restart of your phone can often solve connection problems.

Reset: As a last step, you can reset the Trackcard.

💡 For connection problems during setup, please see the "Setup" section
How can I reset my Trackcard, for example if I want to sell or give it away?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

To release the Trackcard for a new owner, proceed as follows:

  1. Reset Card: Press the button 5 times quickly in succession and hold it on the 5th press until a melody sounds.
  2. IMPORTANT: Remove From App: Open the "Find My" app, select the Trackcard and tap "Remove This Item". Without this step, the card remains linked to your Apple ID.
Android

The process is similar to iPhone, but the order is crucial:

  1. First remove from the app: Open the "Find My Device" app, select the Trackcard, go to settings and tap "Remove From Account".
  2. Then reset the card: Press the button 5 times quickly in succession and hold it on the 5th press until a melody confirms the reset.
Why is it so important to remove the Trackcard from my app after I reset it?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

This is an important security feature. The Trackcard is firmly linked to your personal Apple ID to prevent theft and misuse.

Only by removing it from the app do you release it digitally so another person can connect it to their Apple ID.

Android

This is an important security step. The Trackcard is digitally tied to your Google account to prevent unauthorized use. Only when you remove it from your account is this digital lock lifted and the card can be connected to a new account.

I activated the 'Lost Mode'. What do I need to keep in mind now?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Now it's time to wait for a found notification. Do not remove the Trackcard from your app while the mode is active!

Doing so would break the connection and you would no longer receive location updates.

Android

Now it's time to wait. You'll receive a notification as soon as the location is updated through the Google network.

Important: Do not remove the card from your account while you're searching for it, as you will no longer receive location updates.

My Trackcard is not found after a reset, even though the sound played. What now?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

If the Trackcard doesn't appear in the Find My app after a correct reset, it's often due to your iPhone's Bluetooth connection.

Please restart your iPhone completely. After that, the Trackcard should appear as usual for pairing.

If that doesn't help either, please contact us via contact form.

Android

Restart your phone: A restart of your Android smartphone solves this problem in most cases.

Contact support: If it still doesn't appear in pairing mode after that, please contact our customer service.

Security & Privacy

Because your security and privacy matter to us.

What does the "A Trackcard is moving with you" message mean on my smartphone?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

This is a security feature developed by Apple to protect you from unwanted tracking.

You receive this message when a third-party card compatible with the Find My network has been near you for an extended period. You can then play a sound on the third-party card to find it.

Android

This is an important automatic Android security feature against unwanted tracking.

Your smartphone has detected that a third-party card compatible with the Find My Mobile network has been traveling with you for an extended period. You can play a sound on this card via the notification to find it.

Can someone else find my lost Trackcard and use it for themselves?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

No, absolutely not. As long as the Trackcard is connected to your Apple ID, no one else can activate or use it. Your personal items stay safe.

Android

No. The card is secure and permanently linked to your Google account. As long as you don't actively remove it from your account, no one else can use it.

How can an honest person who finds my card see my contact information without violating my privacy?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

Your data is only visible if you actively turn on "Lost Mode" and choose to provide contact information.

Without your consent, no personal data is shared. You have full control.

Android

Only if you activate "Lost Mode" and explicitly enter your phone number or other contact information there. Without your conscious permission in this mode, no personal data is shared.

General product questions

What else you should know about Trackcard.

Is the Trackcard waterproof?

Yes. The Trackcard is robust and protected from the rigors of everyday life like rain or spilled drinks. So you don't need to worry.

What's the main difference between the Trackcard and an Apple AirTag / Samsung SmartTag?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

The decisive difference is the shape. The Trackcard is specially designed for wallets – ultra-thin like a credit card.

Unlike the AirTag, you don't need to buy additional accessories and it doesn't add bulk. Plus, our battery is conveniently rechargeable instead of replacing a battery.

Android

Compared to other trackers in the Android ecosystem, the Trackcard offers decisive advantages:

  • Shape: The ultra-thin credit card format is perfect for wallets without adding bulk.
  • Integration: It works natively with the Google "Find My Device" network on millions of devices, without needing a separate manufacturer app (like Tile or Samsung).
  • Battery: The battery is conveniently rechargeable wirelessly, which is more environmentally friendly and cheaper than constantly buying button cells.
Does Trackcard support precision finding like an AirTag?
iPhone/iOS/Apple

We play with open cards: Currently, it doesn't work. "Precise Finding," which enables location tracking accurate to the centimeter, has not yet been technically released by Apple for accessory manufacturers like us.

For searches in the immediate vicinity, the loud signal tone of the Trackcard is absolutely sufficient in the vast majority of cases to quickly find your wallet.

Android

Yes, almost. Even without a UWB chip.

Although the Trackcard doesn't have a UWB chip, it does offer nearby finding via Bluetooth. This allows the card to be easily located in the surrounding area, comparable to a device with UWB capability.

An exact UWB directional display with an arrow pointing directly at the Trackcard is not yet available. This feature is currently not technically released for many devices on the Android side, nor for the Trackcard. However, the visual nearby guidance based on Bluetooth already works reliably and very similarly.

It works like this: As soon as you're within Bluetooth range, the app visually tells you whether you're getting closer to the Trackcard (e.g., notifications like "In your area", "farther away"). This way you're guided step by step toward the card and can find it more easily in the final meters.

Please use the current version of the "Find My Device" app

Can I also use the Trackcard with an Android smartphone?

Yes. However, only the Android model! The Trackcard has two models for different operating systems. The Trackcard One was developed exclusively for the Android ecosystem.

Both versions were developed and thoroughly tested by us to ensure the high security, reliability, and user-friendliness that our customers appreciate.

I no longer have my manual. Where can I find help?

No problem! We've prepared all important steps and functions as short video guides for you. You can find them here:

Video Guides

Alternatively, our instructions are available for download here:

Manuals
Can I take the card with me on an airplane when I travel?

Yes, no problem!

You can take the card with you on vacation – even on a plane. The built-in battery has a maximum of 155 mAh (that's less than 0.05 g of lithium) and is well below the permitted limits for air travel.

Best to keep it in your carry-on, where it's safest.

So no worries: just pack it and enjoy your vacation! 🌍🧳🌴
